In the late 1970's, our company worked with the Providence Preservation Society (PPS) and Albert
Veri Associates to research and develop the Providence Lamppost.
This electrified cast aluminum reproduction
of a 19th century oil lamp street light met the approval of PPS, the Providence Historic District Commission, the Rhode Island Historic Preservation and Heritage Commission and the National Trust as being historically accurate to dimension and detail. It also met the City of Providences safety standards for secondary street lighting and has set a standard for its esthetic embience and ease of maintenance.
Our company also manufactured the lampposts for the streetscape of Providence's College Hill Historic District. These lampposts have been in service for the past twenty-three years and we are presently restoring the lamppost back to their original condition
